Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai competitor from Peru and mixed martial artist competing for her country in UFC at the flyweight division, is at present in the Flyweight Division. She's older than fellow UFC Fighter and former UFC Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko started her combat sport career by becoming an Muay Thai kickboxer. In 2018, she quit the competition and began competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko was a fighter against Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina TKO'd Nievera with her impressive strike power in the clinch by knees to body. The result was that Antonina received a UFC contract. Antonina made her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, with Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modafferi with a split decision fight after winning the first fight by unanimous decision. Antonina bounced back from the loss, and defeated Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke. She was also awarded the fight of the night reward for the bout. Shevchenko was 1-2 over her next 3 fights. She beat Ariane Lipski, but lost to Katlyn Chokagian and Andrea Lee.
